Can Fotarine tablets be taken for a long time?

Fotaraline tablets, also known as diclofenac sodium, should not be taken for long periods of time. It is an allopathic medicine and the lowest dose should be used for the shortest period of time. Fotaralin tablets are an antipyretic and analgesic for fever in adults and children, as well as for acute mild to moderate pain such as post-surgery, post-trauma, post-strain, dysmenorrhea, toothache, headache, shoulder pain and myalgia; they are also used to relieve joint swelling and pain due to rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, gouty arthritis, etc. Gastrointestinal reactions occur in about 10% of patients after taking the drug, and a few of them may develop gastric ulcers, bleeding and perforation. It may also cause new onset of hypertension or aggravation of already existing hypertensive symptoms. Therefore, the lowest dose should be used for the shortest duration of treatment.
