Cervical smears include two types of tests, one is cervical fluid-based thin-layer radiography, or TCT, and the other is human papillomavirus testing, or HPV. the cost of TCT is around$150, while HPV screening is around$300. Since cervical cancer is a preventable and treatable disease, and its development has obvious stages, that is, there is an intermediate process from precancerous lesions to cancer. Therefore, regular TCT and HPV screening can detect cervical precancerous lesions at an early stage, and through effective treatment measures can curb the progress of the disease and reduce the incidence of cervical malignancy and mortality to a large extent.
