Surgery of sigmoid colon mainly takes open surgery and laparoscopic surgery. 1. Open surgery, i.e. the traditional type of surgery, all operations such as freeing, resection, anastomosis, etc., are done in an open state. 2. Laparoscopic surgery is performed with the help of instruments imaged through the laparoscope to cut off the upper and lower intestinal tract where the lesion is located and complete the anastomosis with a tubular anastomosis through the anorectum. In laparoscopic surgery, a small hole is usually made in the patient’s navel to bring the laparoscope into the abdominal cavity. Then two small eyes are made on the right and left sides of the abdomen to put the instruments in and tie off these blood vessels leading to the sigmoid colon, and then the mesentery of the sigmoid colon is attached to the normal gap in the posterior abdominal wall, and the whole intestinal segment is freed out and then resected and anastomosed. After the sigmoid colon surgery, we should do a good job of local care work, regular disinfection of the wound treatment, in order to prevent infection at the wound. Patients need to improve poor dietary habits, intake of more easily digested and easily absorbed food, do not drink alcohol, spicy and stimulating food, so as not to irritate the intestinal tract. Patients need to follow the doctor’s instructions for sigmoid colon surgery and have regular postoperative checkups.
