Treatment of tick parasitism in humans

Ticks can be extracted from the human body by topical medication, disinfection and observation.
1. Extraction after topical medication: Liquid paraffin, turpentine or lidocaine can be used topically to anesthetize or even kill the tick, and tweezers can be used to hold the tick and extract it, but not forcibly, because the mouthparts of ticks are barbed, and forcibly extracting them may lead to the head of ticks staying in the body, and even more toxins may be easily injected, causing complications.
2. Disinfection: The wound should be rinsed with soapy water or saline, and then disinfected with complex iodine solution to keep the wound hygienic and prevent infection.
3. Observation: After pulling out the tick, you should pay attention to rest and observe more, if there are systemic symptoms such as fever and fatigue, you need to go to the regular hospital as soon as possible. If local symptoms such as redness, swelling and itching appear, mometasone furoate gel can be used topically to reduce the local inflammatory reaction.
Ticks parasitizing the human body should seek medical treatment in time and follow the doctor’s instructions.
