Dizziness when the elderly get up in the morning may be caused by lack of sleep, high blood pressure, otolithiasis and other factors. 1. Lack of sleep: If the elderly suffer from insomnia the night before, or poor quality of sleep, resulting in lack of sleep, they may experience dizziness when they get up the next morning. 2. Hypertension: If the elderly suffer from high blood pressure, poor blood pressure control, and blood pressure is in the period of elevation from 6:00 am to 10:00 am, they may experience dizziness when getting up and moving around. 3. Otolithiasis: also known as benign positional paroxysmal vertigo. If an elderly person suffers from otolithiasis, when he/she changes his/her position when getting up in the morning, the dislodged otoliths may move with the change of position, resulting in the vestibular function being affected, and thus dizziness symptoms may occur. It is recommended that the elderly pay attention to rest and control their blood pressure. Dizziness in the morning may also be caused by other reasons, such as insufficient blood supply to the brain and cervical spondylosis. If the elderly often wake up in the morning after the symptoms of dizziness, should consult a doctor in time to avoid delay.
