Thickness of the gallbladder wall mainly refers to the thickness of the gallbladder wall found to be out of the normal range through CT examination or ultrasound. Generally, the thickness of the gallbladder wall in normal people is uniform, with a thickness of about 1~2mm. If the thickness of the gallbladder wall is more than 2mm, then it means that the wall is thickened. There are mainly benign and malignant diseases that cause thickening of the gallbladder wall. Benign diseases mainly include gallbladder polyps, gallbladder adenomyosis or cholecystitis. Malignant diseases mainly refer to gallbladder cancer. It is recommended that patients go to the hospital for a comprehensive examination in time, and also cooperate with the treatment under the guidance of the doctor. For patients with thickening of the gallbladder wall, it is recommended that they do not smoke or drink alcohol, stay away from high cholesterol foods, avoid overeating, keep a light diet, and eat more fruits and vegetables that contain multiple vitamins and dietary fiber.
