Liver abscess is categorized into bacterial liver abscess and amoebic liver abscess, and the reasons for the formation of the two are different.
1. Bacterial liver abscess: When systemic bacterial infection occurs, bacteria invade the liver, thus leading to liver abscess. Bacteria can enter the liver through the bile duct, portal vein, hepatic artery, organs or tissues adjacent to the liver, open injury, etc., leading to infection of the liver and formation of abscess.
2. Amebic liver abscess: It is mainly caused by amebic infection, in which the amebas in the lysed tissues spread to the liver through the portal vein, lymphatic vessels or directly, leading to the dissolution and necrosis of the liver cells to form an abscess.
Liver abscess should go to the regular hospital in time, and choose the appropriate treatment to improve the quality of life under the guidance of professional doctors.
