There are no contraindications between plantain, dandelion and fritillary, and their effects are similar, so they can be decocted together.
1. Plantain: has the effect of clearing heat and cooling blood, diuresis, detoxification, etc., can be used to treat edema, hot lymph (burning stinging pain when urinating, with frequent urination, small abdominal traction discomfort) astringent pain, vomiting blood, carbuncle sores and other diseases. Its adverse reactions and contraindications are not clear; pregnant women should be used with caution; renal deficiency and spermatorrhea should be used with caution.
2. Dandelion: It has the effects of clearing away heat and dampness, detoxifying and dispersing toxins, diuretic and diaphoretic (to improve the problem of dribbling in urine, and the problem of insufficient urine volume and inability to pass), etc. It can be used to treat conditions such as feverish drenching and astringent pain, redness of the eyes and swelling and pain, scrofula (mainly refers to tuberculosis of lymph nodes of the neck), carbuncle, swelling, sores, and poisons. Overdose of this drug can lead to retarded diarrhea; its contraindications are not clear; people with cold spleen and stomach should be cautious.
3. Fishweed: It has the efficacy of detoxifying and clearing heat, inducing diuresis, eliminating carbuncle and draining pus, and can treat carbuncle, swelling, sore, phlegm-heat, coughing and astringent pain, etc. It may cause diarrhea after overdose. Adverse reactions such as palpitations may occur after taking this medicine; sores and ulcers belonging to the yin evidence should be avoided; spleen and stomach deficiency and cold should be avoided; and it is recommended to eat a light diet during the period of using the medicine.
