Squamous carcinoma, whose full name is squamous cell carcinoma, is a malignant tumor that is prone to metastasis at an early stage and has a higher chance of metastasis. Therefore, early detection and early treatment are very crucial to the prognosis. In case of carcinoma in situ, i.e. squamous carcinoma without metastasis, it can be basically cured by surgical excision. For metastatic cancer, in addition to surgical removal of the primary site, chemotherapy or radiotherapy is needed to kill the metastatic cancer cells. Squamous carcinoma can occur in all organs of the body, and the early symptoms are relatively insidious. Squamous carcinoma that occurs in the skin is the easiest to detect and diagnose early.
