Does lung cleaning have side effects?

Lung lavage, also known clinically as lung lavage therapy, has some side effects. During the process of lung lavage, some of the active substances secreted by the alveolar surface of the lungs will be taken away and lost, but the lungs themselves will produce alveolar surface active substances. On the other hand, in the whole process of lung washing, it is inevitable that there will be a transient mild pulmonary edema in the lungs, which will not affect the normal respiratory function of the lungs in general, and will not make the lung function decline significantly, and will not cause symptoms such as respiratory distress. In clinical practice, lung cleaning is mainly used for the treatment of silicosis, pneumoconiosis and alveolar protein deposition disease, and the effect is good. Comparatively speaking, although lung cleaning has the above mentioned side effects, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages.
