Characteristics of chronic pain

Chronic pain can manifest as pain in various parts of the body, such as headache, low back pain, muscle pain, etc., but orthopedic, neurological, cardiovascular and gastroenterological examinations do not show typical characteristic, organic lesions, or do not match the description of pain symptoms. Pain is slower pain related to emotions and is a somatoform disorder. It can be relieved by psychotherapy, antidepressant therapy, and anti-anxiety therapy. Chronic pain, which is mostly mood-related and has been treated repeatedly with poor results, is essentially a depressive state, or a somatoform disorder.
