Blood pressure is normal. Why is the heart rate 120?

Normal blood pressure, heart rate of 120 beats / min this situation can be seen in physiological and pathological factors, common diseases are atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter and other cardiovascular diseases, or hyperthyroidism, anemia and so on.
1. Physiological: such as emotional tension, excitement, anxiety or drinking alcohol, tea, coffee or after exercise will cause the heart rate to accelerate, generally after rest, remove the influence of the above factors, the heart rate can return to normal.
2. Pathologic:
(1) Cardiovascular disease: if the patient suffers from atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, ventricular tachycardia and other cardiac arrhythmias, there may be an increase in heart rate up to 120 beats/minute, and the blood pressure may be normal or increased.
(2) Other diseases: fever caused by various reasons, such as hyperthyroidism, anemia, and infections, can lead to an increase in nerve excitability, causing an increase in heart rate to 120 beats/minute, and blood pressure may appear normal.
If the patient appears to have a blood pressure within the normal range (systolic blood pressure at 90~139mmHg, diastolic blood pressure at 60~89mmHg) and a heart rate of 120 beats/min, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time to find out the cause.
