Liver metastasis after gastric cancer surgery is what is usually called advanced gastric cancer. The cure rate of advanced gastric cancer is quite low, and the average survival period is only about 12 months. There are two main treatment methods, as follows: 1. If the metastases on the liver are relatively small and can be completely disposed of by surgical resection or by microwave or radiofrequency, then this method can be preferred for treatment. Of course, after this method, theoretically, there are still some subclinical metastases in the liver, which can be controlled by chemotherapy or targeted therapy or immunotherapy; 2. treatment or immunotherapy, if these treatments are effective. If these treatments are effective, the metastases on the liver can be reduced and shrunk. When the first situation is reached, that is, the metastases on the liver can be dealt with by surgery or radiofrequency microwave methods, then the first method of treatment should be carried out, so that the best treatment effect can be achieved.
