Advantages of Autologous Fat

Autologous fat and materials such as hyaluronic acid, collagen, and Abeleve are all fillers, and these fillers can achieve better results when solving facial aging problems such as nasolabial folds, tear troughs, and periorbital hollows. However, compared with other materials, autologous fat has two obvious advantages: firstly, autologous fat is “own” and will not produce rejection, which is the highest safety; secondly, the continuous effect of autologous fat filling is permanent, therefore, autologous fat is more and more popular among beauty seekers in the application of facial anti-aging. Fat from many parts of our body can be taken, the more common ones are fat from the abdomen, thighs, waist, and also more hidden parts such as fat from the inner side of the upper arm. If a candidate has the conditions, fat from the face can also be used for filling, for example, fat from the eye bags is often used to fill the tear trough. For example, fat from the eye bags is often used to fill the tear troughs, which are adjacent to each other and can be filled easily and with better results; fat from the double chin can be used to fill the nasolabial folds and temporal (temple) hollows. In addition to anti-aging applications, autologous fat facial wrinkle removal fat can also be used for facial contour sculpture. For example, candidates with prominent cheekbones can fill the temporal area (temples) with autologous fat to make the facial contour lines smooth so that the cheekbones no longer look obviously prominent. Autologous fat also plays an important role in facial contour sculpting. There is a problem of survival rate after autologous fat transplantation, part of the fat will be absorbed and another part will survive. Nowadays, with the improvement of fat transplantation technology, the rich experience of clinicians and the increase of scientific and technological means, the survival rate of autologous fat transplantation has been increasing, and the one-time success rate of fat injection is getting higher and higher, usually between 40%-60%. After the survival of autologous fat transplantation, the effect is permanently maintained. Compared with other parts of the body, the survival rate of fat after facial filler is usually higher because the amount of fat filled is generally less and because the blood circulation of the face is richer, while other parts, such as the chest, can be filled with hundreds of milliliters of fat at a time and the filling volume is larger, so the survival rate will be lower. After autologous fat injection, because there are some traumas and needle eyes in the local tissues, makeup cannot be applied immediately. We suggest that candidates should put on makeup at least 48 hours later and wear light makeup, and normal makeup can be applied after one week. Be careful not to squeeze the local area within one week after injection to prevent changes in the shape of the filling area. If the injection is in the nasolabial folds, pay attention to the local expression movement after the operation not to be too violent, such as not to laugh, open the mouth drastically, etc.
