What’s with the crying after the pneumonia vaccine?

Crying after a pneumonia vaccination may be due to symptoms of redness, swelling and pain at the injection site. After your baby receives the pneumonia vaccine, he or she may experience symptoms of redness, swelling and pain at the site of the vaccination, resulting in more than just crying. It may also be the result of a mild adverse reaction to the vaccination, such as a low-grade fever, which causes the baby to cry and fuss. This is a normal phenomenon after vaccination and may be related to dysfunction of the immune system during vaccine absorption and antibody formation. Pneumonia vaccine cannot be administered intravascularly or intradermally. The use of this medicine is prohibited for those who are allergic to this medicine or to the components of the formula. Parents are advised to take their babies to the hospital promptly if there is a persistent rise in body temperature above 38.5℃ or if it is accompanied by obvious symptoms such as depression and loss of appetite.
