Subclinical hypothyroidism can lead to pregnancy, but it is recommended that the thyroid hormone level should be controlled to less than 2.5 mU/L.
Subclinical hypothyroidism can be manifested as elevated thyroid hormone but normal thyroid hormone level, and usually does not have obvious clinical symptoms; in order to ensure the normal development of the fetus and to avoid miscarriage, preterm delivery, fetal malformation and other undesirable situations, it is recommended that thyroid hormone be controlled to less than 2.5mU/L before pregnancy.
During pregnancy, thyroid function should be closely monitored and regular thyroid function tests should be performed.
Patients diagnosed with subclinical hypothyroidism who are not sure if they can get pregnant are advised to go to the hospital and ask the doctor to make a judgment.
