What are NSAIDs?

Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs are the opposite of hormones, and this class of drugs is named for the lack of the steroid ring in its chemical structure that hormones have. It has antipyretic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects, and is the first-line drug for the treatment of rheumatic diseases. It is the drug of choice for some rheumatic diseases, such as early rheumatoid arthritis, age-related arthritis and early ankylosing spondylitis. There are many types of such drugs, and the most commonly used are acetylsalicylic acid (i.e., aspirin), anti-inflammatory pain, ibuprofen, fentanyl, fotarine and chinolactone. Although all of these drugs work by reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins in the body, there are some subtle differences between the various drugs, and the specific use of what and how to use them needs to be guided by the doctor according to the patient’s specific situation. It is a common phenomenon for patients in the application of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs is that many patients are afraid of the side effects of the drug and can not take the drug continuously, often “three days of fishing, two days of sunbathing”, only when the symptoms are serious, the pain can not be tolerated before using the drug, thus affecting the efficacy of the patient, the patient has a “drug has no efficacy” doubt. It should be pointed out that most of the NSAIDs are relatively safe, and as long as they are used as instructed, they can obtain better results.
