What does a little inflammation of the sieve sinuses mean

A little inflammation of the sieve sinuses suggests that sieve sinusitis may be present, but it does not cause obvious symptoms, and is mostly a thickening of the mucous membrane and a little effusion. The sieve sinuses are located above the middle and posterior segments of the nasal cavity, and because of the sieve-like bony septum within them, infections tend to spread from one to the other. A little inflammation of the sieve sinuses suggests that there may be infectious foci, but it is not serious, and there may be no clinical symptoms during this period. Imaging often reveals thickening of the mucosa, and headache, nasal congestion, runny nose, and decreased sense of smell may gradually appear due to the progression of the disease. Those without clinical symptoms do not need special treatment, but should still pay attention to rest, avoid exertion and excessive exposure to dirty environment, and reduce the number of upper respiratory tract infections, such as the risk of disease-causing factors such as stimulation and exacerbation of the disease.
