What’s wrong with a four-month-old’s runny eyes?

Four-month-old babies with watery eyes are considered to be caused by conjunctivitis, inverted eyelashes, foreign bodies, congenital glaucoma and so on.
1. Conjunctivitis: Conjunctivitis is a pathogen attack to the conjunctival tissue, resulting in an inflammatory reaction, there will be obvious conjunctival congestion, resulting in corneal irritation symptoms, and tearing.
2. Inverted eyelashes: Inverted eyelashes, the eyelashes grow backwards, sweeping towards the black eyeball, sweeping towards the white eyeball, and adhering to the surface of the cornea. Inverted eyelashes can irritate the cornea, causing irritation and tearing.
3. Foreign body: If there is a foreign body in the conjunctiva or cornea inside the eye, it will also irritate the eye and cause tearing. So you need to remove the foreign body in time.
4. Congenital glaucoma: Congenital glaucoma is caused by abnormal development of the anterior chamber angle tissue during fetal life. Because of the congenital atrial angle dysplasia, the intraocular pressure rises, and the phenomenon of photophobia and tearing of the eyes occurs.
If parents find that their four-month-old babies often have the phenomenon of tearing, it is best to consult a doctor in time and actively treat the disease so as not to delay the condition. Usually also pay attention to the baby’s towel disinfection as well as hand hygiene and cleanliness, so as to avoid eye infections.
