In late pregnancy, when the fetus goes into the pelvis to complete labor successfully, it will cause pressure on the passing pelvis and pubic bone to produce pain. The difference between pelvic pain and pubic bone pain mainly lies in the location of the pain and the cause of the pain is different. 1. Location: Pelvic pain can be seen in any part of the pelvis, including the pubic bone, while pubalgia is most common in the pubic symphysis with obvious pain. 2. Triggers: the body’s indicators change dramatically in late pregnancy, the pubic bone muscles become flaccid, and the separation of the pubic symphysis will produce strong pain, or when the fetus is in the pelvis, it will be squeezed; and pelvic pain can be caused by a number of factors, such as the uterus enlarges in the late stage, the fetus is too large or too many, the amniotic fluid is too much, or there is a fracture history of the pelvis itself in the pre-pregnancy period. Therefore, clinical management should be sought if there is strong pain in pregnancy.
