Can epilepsy heal on its own in soft brain foci?

Epilepsy caused by soft brain foci usually does not heal on its own.
Soft brain foci refer to the formation of cystic soft foci due to destructive lesions such as cerebral hemorrhage, cerebral infarction, traumatic brain injury, and encephalitis, which cause necrosis and softening of the brain tissue and filling of the cerebrospinal fluid. Once the soft brain foci are formed, it is usually difficult to recover, and if the soft foci are large, the patient can have epileptic seizures. Soft brain foci epilepsy is not a self-limiting disease, and it is difficult to heal by itself.
Currently, there is a lack of accurate and effective treatment for softening foci, and it is usually symptomatic. If epilepsy is induced, antiepileptic drugs such as carbamazepine, phenytoin sodium, sodium valproate, etc., can be used to treat the condition according to the doctor’s instructions.
Diagnosed with epilepsy of soft brain foci, patients should actively cooperate with the doctor for treatment, do not take drugs on their own to avoid adverse consequences.
