How to correct long and short legs

Patients can be treated by padding the shortened limbs, correcting pelvic tilt and lumbar scoliosis, and surgery, as follows: First, padding the shortened limbs: special orthopedic shoes can be used to make both lower limbs equal in length and restore normal balance and walking. Second, correction of pelvic tilting and lumbar scoliosis: treatment correction by exercising muscles, lumbar traction, etc., can restore both lower limbs to equal length. Third, surgical treatment: severe double lower limb unequal length can be considered through surgical osteotomy, with external fixation bracket stretching, so that the bones can be extended. Through the above methods, most patients can generally get some degree of relief from the symptoms of long and short legs, or even completely cure. Attention should be paid to the protection of the lumbar spine in ordinary life to avoid lateral pelvic tilt, and also to prevent femoral head necrosis and collapse, leading to shortened limbs.
