The formula of Pai Zhu Sheng Muscle San in National Collection of Prescriptions for Proprietary Chinese Medicines is “Pai Zhu Sheng Muscle San”, which is used for treating carbuncle and gangrene (a kind of venomous sores, an acute suppurative disease that occurs on the surface of the body, the limbs, and the internal organs) that has been ulcerated, with sores sinking in, not producing muscle for a long time, and often flowing with septic water. Plucking Toxin and Regenerating Muscle Powder, which is derived from “Secret Purpose of Rescuing Injuries”, has the efficacy of plucking out toxin and regenerating muscle, and is mainly used for treating broken wounds, both old and new. The adverse reactions and contraindications of the above Chinese medicines are still unclear, and should not be used on their own, and it is recommended that they be taken under the guidance of a doctor.
