Can trigeminal neuralgia heal itself?

Trigeminal neuralgia is rarely self-cured, mainly through the treatment of the cause and symptoms to relieve the symptoms.
Trigeminal neuralgia is mainly manifested in the distribution area of the trigeminal nerve, the sudden onset of repeated episodes of electric shocks and needles, cut or tear-like severe pain, paroxysmal, transient, lasting from a few seconds to a few minutes, with intervals of no symptoms.
Clinically, primary trigeminal neuralgia and secondary trigeminal neuralgia are usually categorized. The cause of primary trigeminal neuralgia is still unclear, while secondary trigeminal neuralgia is caused by other lesions that compress or invade the trigeminal nerve, therefore, it is usually difficult to be cured on its own, and it can be treated by medication, physiotherapy, closed therapy, radiofrequency thermocoagulation, and surgery, and so on.
Patients with symptoms of trigeminal neuralgia should also seek medical attention in time and be treated by a doctor according to the condition and cause of the disease.
