Argon Helium Knife Cryotherapy (ASCS) is a new cryotherapy technique developed from the traditional cryotherapy in recent years, which combines ultra-low temperature with warming technology, exceeding the effect of pure cryotherapy or thermotherapy. Its characteristic is that argon gas can make the tumor target area lesion tissue drop to -100OC~165OC in more than ten seconds through the cutter head, and then introduce helium gas to the cutter head to make the frozen tumor rapidly rewarming and warming up to 40OC degrees, which makes the temperature rise and fall instantaneously in the hot and cold sudden change in the tumor is destroyed into fragments. This treatment process can make the intracellular ice crystals undergo the expansion phenomenon – “bursting”, which is more destructive than the single freezing or heat therapy in the past, and at the same time of killing and wounding the cancer cells by the hot and cold effect, the destroyed dead cell fragments can also modulate the tumor antigen, which can increase the anti-tumor and immune ability, achieving the dual treatment effect. It has the effect of significantly increasing anti-tumor immunity and achieving double treatment. Clinical application shows that it has better curative effect on many kinds of solid tumors such as liver cancer, lung cancer, breast cancer, cervical cancer, ovarian cancer and so on.
