Real-time online monitoring technology is of great use in hemodialysis. The online KT/V monitoring system we have used to obtain timely data on the adequacy of that hemodialysis session by assessing the clearance of small molecule urea nitrogen in hemodialysis patients in real time, which is more timely and convenient than the traditional periodic assessment and facilitates more individualized and targeted setting of hemodialysis medical orders. Protein online monitoring system, through real-time detection of hemoglobin level, can obtain the patient’s ultrafiltration situation (plasma volume change). Although there are still some influencing factors to reflect the change of intravascular volume through hemoglobin, such as refill, hemolysis, etc., but after all, the data can be obtained in a more timely and relatively accurate manner, especially when the occurrence of mid-treatment hypotension, these data have certain determination and guidance significance. Currently, our research team has designed a new technique to obtain real-time peritoneal transit status of peritoneal dialysis patients through online glucose monitoring, in combination with previous online monitoring techniques. By setting up glucose monitoring points at specific locations, sampling and analyzing at multiple time points, and combining glucose transport characteristics to plot transport curves, we have obtained specific transport curve characteristics for each patient on peritoneal dialysis, which provides a reliable basis for guiding the development of individualized peritoneal dialysis prescriptions. The details are being further studied and analyzed, and we hope that the relevant findings will be clinically applied sooner for the benefit of uremic patients!
