Cervical antalgia is not uncommon in clinical practice. Patients who take plain X-rays find cervical antalgia because the cervical spine has a normal physiological curve, like a capital C; if there is no physiological curve, it is called cervical straightening; if there is a curve in the opposite direction, it is called cervical antalgia. Cervical counter-arch is a common pathological type of cervical spine disease. Cervical counter-arch may compress the nerves or pull the spinal cord behind the spinal canal and may have neurological symptoms. The cervical curvature is mainly due to long-term ambulatory work, head down, such as the long-term preference for playing cell phones, games, long-term paperwork will cause the original forward curvature of the cervical vertebrae to gradually disappear, and then become cervical curvature straightening. Then it further becomes a backward curvature, called retroflexion. The force on the cervical spine is abnormally altered because of the change in the force mechanics of the cervical spine after the retroflexion. Under such circumstances, the cervical discs, including the hook joint, are prone to degeneration, herniation of the cervical discs and hyperplasia of the hook joint, which further cause the spinal stenosis of the cervical spine. After a long time, it may cause spinal cord cervical spondylosis, which may cause corresponding walking or upper and lower limb dysfunction.
