Coughing up white particles is clinically common mainly in response to inflammation of the upper respiratory tract. Many people will suddenly spit out white rice-like particles from their mouth when coughing, which is mainly common in typical tonsillitis. The surface of the tonsil has different degrees of size and number of crypts, due to infection by bacteria and other pathogens, tonsil inflammatory reaction occurs, the surface of the inflammatory secretion will ooze attached to the crypts. In the case of a long period of time, the water decreases, and the purulent secretions in the crypts become dry and granular. When coughing vigorously, the secretions from the crypts will be coughed up in the form of white granules. Acute tonsillitis and acute attacks of chronic tonsillitis are more common.
