The process of filling a cavity that has rotted and become empty

A cavity that has rotted out requires radiographs to determine if the pulp is involved, and then the choice of filling, root canal, or extraction is made.
Clinical examination and dental radiographs are required to determine whether the pulp is involved in the decayed tooth, and then different treatment options can be selected.
1. If the pulp has not been affected, filling treatment is performed, which consists of several steps, including cavity preparation, moisture barrier drying, bonding, filling and polishing, to remove as much decayed tissue as possible from the tooth, and then bond the filling material to the tooth with a chemical bonding agent.
2. If the pulp has been affected and the tooth can be preserved, root canal treatment is performed, which consists of three steps: root canal preparation, root canal disinfection, and root canal filling. A hole is made in the tooth to create a straight pathway, and then the root canal is cleaned out of infected pulp and dentin as much as possible by mechanical or chemical methods, and finally filled.
3. If the tooth can no longer be retained, it needs to be extracted, mainly by anesthesia, separating the gums, loosening the affected tooth, removing the affected tooth, scraping and postoperative suturing.
It is recommended to go to the stomatology department of a regular hospital and choose the corresponding treatment plan according to the condition.
