Diaphragm Yu point is located in the spine area, below the spinous process of the 7th thoracic vertebra, 1.5 inches away from the posterior midline. Diaphragm Yu is one of the commonly used acupoints of the Foot Solar Bladder Meridian, and is the blood meeting point of the eight meeting points, which has the effects of nourishing blood and ying (regulating the ying part of the blood), regulating qi and relieving pain. Diaphragm Yu acupoints are mainly used for treating blood stasis diseases such as vomiting blood, blood in stool, epistaxis, etc.; qi reversal diseases such as vomiting, eructation (hiccups), asthma, vomiting blood, etc.; dermatological diseases such as addictive rash (equivalent to urticaria in Western medicine), itchy skin, etc.; and yin deficiency diseases such as hot flashes, night sweating (sweating abnormally after falling asleep, and stopping sweating after waking up). It should be noted that if there is a need for acupuncture treatment, the treatment should be carried out under the operation of a professional physician, and should not be operated blindly on its own, so as not to cause physical discomfort.
