If the baby has only vomiting but no diarrhea, this condition can be seen in infectious diseases, such as upper respiratory tract infection, acute gastroenteritis or early symptoms of certain neurological diseases, such as meningitis, encephalitis, etc. It may also be a manifestation of surgical diseases, such as pediatric acute appendicitis, intussusception or intestinal obstruction. In this case, if the baby has fever, cough and poor mental status, it is recommended to go to the pediatric internal medicine department for a face-to-face consultation, and blood tests are needed. If the mental status is particularly poor, and if the child feels headache after vomiting, an electroencephalogram is needed further. If the child vomits, does not ventilate and does not have stools, an abdominal ultrasound is needed to rule out surgical diseases and to provide symptomatic treatment after a clear diagnosis.
