NT 1.0 mm is within the normal range.
NT is the thickness of the fetal nuchal translucency measured by ultrasound (this test is performed at 11-13⁺⁶ weeks of gestation), and is considered to be within the normal range up to a value of 2.5 mm. If the value is greater than or equal to 2.5 mm, further testing is required to determine the specific condition of the fetus.
However, the NT value alone cannot determine the specific condition of the fetus, and follow-up obstetric examinations are needed to rule out chromosomal abnormalities in the mid-pregnancy by amniocentesis.
