The sequelae of cerebral palsy include the following: 1) motor impairment: some children cannot sit, stand or walk; 2) intellectual impairment: half of the children with cerebral palsy are mildly to moderately mentally retarded, and a quarter are severely mentally retarded; 3) language impairment: most children will have stuttering and articulation and dysarthria; 4) hearing and vision impairment: some children have internal strabismus and hearing problems; 5) combined mental problems, such as children will have irritability and other mental problems.
