Liver cysts do not usually heal on their own, so there is no such thing as the easiest way to heal yourself. Common treatments for liver cysts include surgery and medication.
1. Drug therapy: polycystic liver disease is less likely to be treated with drug therapy, and simple liver cysts are usually not treated with drug therapy. Drug therapy for hepatic echinococcosis is an adjunct to surgical treatment, commonly used drugs are albendazole, mebendazole, etc. Note that long-term application may prolong the course of the disease, and follow up the blood routine and liver and kidney function in time. All the medicines need to be used according to the doctor’s requirements, do not use medicines without authorization.
2. Surgery: non-parasitic liver cysts are often treated with surgery such as hepatic cyst windowing, percutaneous puncture decompression, and internal drainage of cysts. Hepatic cyst windowing is suitable for single hepatic cysts with obvious symptoms, and it is forbidden for traffic hepatic cysts, hepatic cysts with infections, bleeding and other complications. Percutaneous puncture decompression can be used for preoperative preparation, so as not to cause serious physiological disorders by sudden decompression after incision.
Liver transplantation should be performed if polycystic liver, for example, leads to irreversible severe liver function damage.
Parasitic liver cysts are categorized into hepatic cystic echinococcosis and hepatic vesicular echinococcosis. The common surgical methods for hepatic cystic echinococcosis include complete removal of the external capsule, partial hepatectomy, etc. Radical resection is the preferred method for hepatic vesicular echinococcosis.
Please follow your doctor’s advice on what treatment to choose, and timely treatment is recommended to avoid delaying the disease.
