Multiple polyps of the stomach, how to treat

Gastric polyps are mostly relieved by medication such as omeprazole, bismuth potassium citrate, amoxicillin, and endoscopic and surgical treatments.
The treatment of polyps is related to the size and pathological type of polyps. Adenomatous polyps, with no contraindications, can be endoscopically resected, and in combination with Helicobacter pylori infection, quadruple eradication therapy, such as omeprazole + bismuth potassium citrate + amoxicillin + metronidazole, can be performed. In association with the application of acid-suppressing drugs, acid-suppressing drugs should be discontinued.
Tipped or smaller non-tipped polyps can be removed endoscopically, and larger non-tipped polyps, especially those with a diameter greater than two centimeters, can also be surgically resected, such as asymptomatic elderly patients, or those with some other complications who cannot tolerate surgery should be followed up regularly, and if they are not associated with gastric cancer, the prognosis of polyp removal or resection is generally good.
Gastric polyps should avoid eating pickled food, leftovers, etc., quit smoking and drinking, exercise moderately, and avoid exertion. If multiple gastric polyps are found during examination, they should be actively treated according to the doctor’s instructions to avoid delaying the condition.
