What is Psoriasis

Psoriasis is a multifactorial (genetic, environmental, immune mechanisms), systemic, chronic skin disease with a high recurrence rate that manifests as widely distributed or scattered erythematous plaques, covered with a thick layer of scales, and accompanied by pronounced pruritus. Psoriasis, also known as psoriasis, is a worldwide epidemic skin disease that is not contagious, has some genetic correlation, and is closely related to the acquired living environment. For example, stressful events such as colds, mental stimulation, car accidents, and poor lifestyle habits such as alcoholism and smoking. At present, psoriasis has little impact on the rest of the body’s health, and mainly affects the aesthetic aspect. Treatment is also basically mature, with topical creams such as carbotriol. If itching is obvious, cetirizine and loratadine tablets can be added temporarily to help relieve itching. Depending on the severity of the disease and the patient’s own economic conditions, the use of oral medication, herbal baths, phototherapy, and biological agents are also more mature. However, there is still no method that guarantees no recurrence and 100% cure. The scales of the rash of psoriasis patients are proteins, so the diet should pay more attention to the supplement of high-quality protein, such as fish, pork (lean meat), etc. Because infections can easily trigger psoriasis, it is important to keep warm, catch as few colds as possible, and maintain a soothing mood.
