Symptoms of pharyngeal conjunctival fever

Pharyngoconjunctival fever is a contagious disease that is more common in children and is often transmitted by swimming and other public places. This disease has the following symptoms: the first one is fever, usually the patient will have weakness, cold sweat and chills in the early stage, and high fever in the later stage, the body temperature can reach about 38-40℃. The second patient may have a sore throat, which is mainly manifested as pharyngitis. During the examination, it can be seen that the pharyngeal mucosa is congested and the lymphatic follicles in the posterior pharyngeal wall are hyperplastic. The third is conjunctivitis, which is clinically manifested by patients’ frequent tearing and redness of the eyes. Generally, for patients with the above three symptoms, we must be vigilant and clinically consider the possibility of pharyngeal conjunctival fever, and suggest patients to seek comprehensive consultation from otolaryngology, pediatrics and ophthalmology.
