There are many different types of fundus diseases, and treatment varies depending on the type of fundus disease. Fundus diseases are divided into fundus medical and fundus surgical. There are some fundus diseases that require medication and others that require surgical treatment. The common ones requiring surgical treatment are retinal detachment and vitreous hemorrhage, which are treated surgically by retinal repositioning, vitrectomy and removal of blood accumulation in the vitreous cavity. Nowadays, there are more patients with diabetes mellitus, and diabetic retinopathy should be treated according to the results of FFA, to determine the extent of ischemia and hypoxia, and can be treated conservatively to improve the circulation and nerve nutrition, or by laser treatment of the fundus. In some patients, if the scope of ischemia is large, there is neovascular growth and macular edema, anti-VEGF treatment and vitreous cavity injection can be done. Common retinal vein obstruction can also be treated with medication, laser or surgery depending on the condition. There are also some fundus diseases such as inflammation of the optic papilla and ischemic optic neuropathy, which require medication and possibly anti-inflammatory treatment with hormones. There are also less common fundus diseases, such as Koyasuharada disease, leukoaraiosis, and total uveitis, which require medication.
