What is Periodontal Mucosal Section

Periodontal Mucosal Section is a department that treats periodontal diseases and oral mucosal diseases, including various types of gingivitis, periodontitis, combined periodontal and pulpal lesions, root bifurcation lesions, root sensitivity, root surface caries, gingival recession and other periodontal diseases. Treatment is mainly through supragingival scaling, subgingival scaling, root surface leveling, periodontal bone grafting, guided tissue regeneration, periodontal flap surgery, etc. Oral mucosal diseases are mainly treated by recurrent oral ulcers, polymorphic exudative erythema, angioneurotic edema, oral tuberculosis, lichen planus, Leukocyte’s syndrome, dry syndrome, labyrinthitis, linguitis, lingual papillitis, oral discoid lupus erythematosus, map tongue, furrowed tongue and other intrinsic mucosal diseases.
