Vulvar secretions, also commonly known as leukorrhea, are mainly composed of a mixture of endometrial glands, cervical and vaginal mucosal exudates. Physiological leukorrhea is white and pasty or egg-white, and pathological leukorrhea may change in character, color and odor.
When the following problems occur, it may be pathological leukorrhea:
1. Bacterial vaginosis: leukorrhea is grayish-white when viewed with the naked eye, smells fishy, and has a burning sensation on the vulva.
2. Vulvovaginal pseudomycosis: the leukorrhea is tofu dregs or curd-like, and the vulva may be accompanied by itching.
3. Trichomonas vaginitis: the leukorrhea is foamy and frothy with foul smell, and the vulva itches even more, and scratches can be seen due to itching.
4. Cervicitis: the amount of leukorrhea increases and is purulent, accompanied by vaginal and vulvar itching.
If any of the above situations occurs, please go to the hospital in time, complete the relevant examinations, and clarify the cause of the disease under the guidance of a professional doctor to avoid the disease from lingering on.
