Babies with chondrodysplasia will exhibit abnormal body posture with short proximal deformities of the limbs, especially the upper arms and thighs. The limbs are fatigued and the face has corresponding features, such as a collapsed nose and a wide forehead, sometimes destroying the joints and causing limb flexion and contracture, bloated muscles, excessive anterior protrusion of the lumbar vertebrae, a markedly bulging abdomen, a deformity of the thoracic vertebrae with posterior convexity, lumbar and leg pain, and posterior protrusion of the hips. Patients with short stature and undisturbed intelligence are noted to go to the hospital for examination to exclude symptoms caused by craniosynostosis. When the baby is born with uncoordinated trunk and limbs or cartilage dysplasia, showing short limbs or a large head, parents need to understand the cause in time, choose appropriate dietary regimen measures and supplement sufficient nutritional vitamins to avoid abnormal development of the baby, which affects the physical appearance.
