Tonsil squamous carcinoma, also known as tonsil cancer, is relatively easy to spread. Tonsillar cancer is a malignant tumor originated from the tonsillar fossa on both sides of oropharynx, and the cancerous tissue often expands to the anterior and posterior pharyngeal columns, root of tongue, soft palate, etc., and it is easy to metastasize to upper cervical lymph nodes, with an incidence rate of 60% to 70%. It may also metastasize to distant organs, the most common being lung metastasis, followed by bone, liver and mediastinal metastasis. If tonsil cancer is found earlier, it is very limited, its malignancy is low, no peripheral metastasis, it can be completely removed by surgery, and then after postoperative radiotherapy, the survival rate is very high. If it is found late, the tumor invades more widely and its malignant degree is very high, the possibility of cure is very small, which affects the patient’s life. Therefore, if tonsil cancer is found, systematic treatment should be carried out as early as possible to prevent the spread of tonsil cancer.
