The difference between Lock Yang and Cistanchis lies in the different flavors, meridians and effects. For example, lock yang is sweet and warm in nature, and can enter the liver, kidney and large intestine meridians, while cistanchis is sweet and salty in nature, warm in nature, and belongs to the kidney and large intestine meridians, and cistanchis does not have the effect of entering the liver meridian. Both lock yang and cistanchis have the effects of tonifying the kidney and yang, moistening the intestines and laxatives, but lock yang is more potent, and its long-term use may easily lead to fire, while cistanchis is mild and nourishing, warming and does not harm the yin, and usually does not lead to fire. It should be noted that Cistanchis is contraindicated for people with weak stomach (loose stools) and high phasic fire; it is also contraindicated for people with yin deficiency (deficiency of yin essence in the body, resulting in hyperactive fire), diarrhea caused by spleen deficiency (diarrhea caused by weak spleen) and constipation caused by solid heat. It should be noted that the individual constitution is different, can not use drugs to treat without authorization, must be in the doctor’s guidance under the guidance of reasonable use of drugs, in order to prevent improper use of drugs on the body to cause damage.
