Is thrush contagious to other children?

Thrush, also known as acute pseudomembranous candidiasis, is mainly caused by Candida infection, which is contagious and may be transmitted to other children.
1. Acute pseudomembranous candidiasis patients, carriers and contaminated food and water by Candida albicans are sources of infection. Some younger children with the disease like to bite hands, toys, pacifiers, etc. If they share toys and hold hands with other children, the infection may be triggered; in addition, sharing a cup to drink water or nibbling on the same food may likewise be contagious.
2. In daily life, patients should avoid kissing, sharing utensils and eating the same food with other people, which can effectively avoid the transmission of the disease.
If the above mentioned diseases occur, patients should consult a doctor in time and take proper protection to avoid adverse consequences.
