What’s wrong with the earache?

Many parents encounter their little ones waking up in the middle of the night crying and saying that their ears hurt! Some parents are very nervous and take their baby to the hospital immediately to see the doctor. Some parents think that the problem is not serious and the baby doesn’t say that the earache is there the next day, so they leave it alone, but, after a few days or ten days, the baby may have an earache again! So what’s wrong with earache? In general, nine times out of ten, a baby with earache is suffering from otitis media. Of course, there are also some ear canal infections or foreign bodies in the ear. What should I do when I encounter earache in my baby? First of all, you need to see if your baby has a recent history of cold, fever, or runny nose. If so, it is likely to be acute otitis media. If it is already late at night and far from the hospital, it is recommended to see it early the next morning, because a big night tossing and turning may aggravate the condition of your little one. If your baby’s ear does not hurt the next day, it is still highly recommended to see a doctor, as failure to do so may leave the root of the disease, repeated earaches, and even affect your baby’s hearing. Finally, it is emphasized that acute otitis media medication should be used for at least 7 to 10 days. The fact that the ear does not hurt does not mean that the otitis media is well treated, otherwise it will also recur. In the late stage of treatment, you can let your baby do more chewing exercises and puffing exercises such as blowing up balloons, which can speed up the healing of otitis media in babies. I hope this will help parents!
