The aortic coefficient of emptying (A coefficient of emptying) is an imaging test that generally refers to the rate at which blood empties and travels through the aorta. Aortic coefficient of emptying is mainly used in ultrasound examination, which can be abbreviated as BLK. The normal range of aortic coefficient of emptying is usually between 0.22 and 0.26, and if it exceeds this normal value, then it is necessary to go to the cardiovascular department to have an ultrasound electrocardiogram and an ambulatory electrocardiogram to do further testing to determine the degree of increase in peripheral resistance, so as to provide a targeted treatment later on. In order to prevent abnormal aortic coefficient of emptying results, patients should minimize the intake of salt and fat, and supplement dietary fiber and vitamins. Meanwhile, patients should interpret the test results and intervene accordingly under the guidance of their doctors to avoid delaying their condition.
