How to play table tennis with shoulder pain

Shoulder pain caused by playing table tennis is due to injury to the shoulder during exercise. During the acute pain period, try to avoid shoulder movement first, apply cold compresses within 48 hours, hot compresses and microwave physiotherapy after 48 hours, and treat the pain with oral or topical blood-boosting drugs. If the pain is not relieved, it is recommended to go to a regular hospital for an MRI of the shoulder joint to determine if there is a rotator cuff injury. If it is a simple mild soft tissue injury, the pain will be relieved quickly after a period of treatment. However, if there is a more serious rotator cuff injury, or even a tear in one of the muscles and tendons, surgical treatment with shoulder arthroscopy may eventually be required.
