Nasal bile duct left in for a few days after ercp surgery

ERCP is a minimally invasive procedure of endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography, which is mostly used for the treatment of bile duct stones and biliary tract tumors. Postoperative routine need to leave a nasal bile duct, for the removal time of the nasal bile duct, depending on the patient’s condition, the removal time also varies. For patients with bile duct stones who undergo ERCP for stone extraction, the nasal bile duct is usually left in place within 3-5 days. If the patient has acute pancreatitis, biliary bleeding and other complications after the operation, the nasal bile duct often can not be removed immediately, so as not to cause bile stasis, aggravate pancreatitis or unable to observe whether the biliary bleeding stops, some patients often need to be placed for about 7-10 days. Secondly, in case of patients with biliary tract tumors, biliary stent is placed by ERCP, and the postoperative period of nasal bile duct is about 7 days.
