What’s with the pimples on the neck?

Pimples on the neck are considered to be caused by folliculitis, boils, atopic dermatitis and other diseases.
1. Folliculitis: an inflammatory skin disease mainly involving hair follicles, mostly related to pathogen infection, patients will locally appear red papules centered on hair follicles, which can appear on the neck.
2. Boils: boils are usually caused by acute bacterial purulent inflammation of the hair follicles and their surrounding tissues, such as Staphylococcus aureus infection, and may appear on the face, neck, buttocks and other locations of the patient’s pimples, with redness, swelling, pain and other uncomfortable symptoms of the skin in the affected area.
3. Atopic dermatitis: a chronic recurrent inflammatory disease, the cause of which is not yet clear, may be related to genetics, immune abnormalities, environmental factors and skin barrier function abnormalities, manifested as dry skin, eczema-like rash.
