How to remove white spots on lips

White spots on the lips are most commonly known as labyrinthosis, an ectopic, misplaced sebaceous gland. It is common on the lip and cheek mucosa. There are scattered or clustered corn-sized yellowish or yellow-white patches or papules on the mucosa, with smooth surface and soft to touch. Patients with lipofuscinosis usually have no conscious symptoms and often seek medical attention unintentionally. Histopathologic manifestations include small, mature, normal sebaceous glandular lobules within the lamina propria of the epithelium surrounded by sebaceous ducts extending from the center of the gland to the mucosal surface. It is usually asymptomatic and does not require treatment. There is also no effective treatment available.
